Singer, songwriter and entrepreneur Janika Brown began writing poetry and music at 13 years old. Growing up in Boston, MA, she performed in shows and venues in the New England area including Connecticut’s University of New Haven, Boston’s House of Blues, and the Strand Theater, where she took part in a Tribute to New Edition during the 4th Annual Music Awards show.
Janika released her debut single ‘Checklist,’ in April of 2018 through all digital platforms and signed with New England – based music publishing group, ‘The North Productions, LLC’ in January of 2019. She released her second single, ‘Show me,’ featuring Martin Toe on February 8th and her third single ‘Distraction,’ on May 10th.
Brown is also the founder of The City’s Entertainment; a performing arts organization that showcases talent of all kinds. The organization’s events take place primarily in Boston, but advertise talent from all around the world.
